Bespoke wedding suits and dresses

Finding the perfect wedding dress can be the most exciting part of planning your big day. However, it can also be difficult and time-consuming, especially when you can’t find what you are looking for in high-street bridal boutiques.

Despite the wide variety of dresses available you may still be struggling to find the right wedding dress for you. If this is the case, having your wedding day outfit custom-made can be a wonderful journey of discovery.

At my studio, you can take your time leafing through beautiful silks and lace fabric swatches in a relaxed atmosphere. I recommend bringing a friend or family member to share the experience and for an extra pair of eyes.

You may be inspired by a fabric there and then, or you can tell me what you have in mind, and I will source it for you. Read more about how the process works here in my Bridal section.

Contemporary bridal outfits

Over the years I have created many wedding dresses and tailored suits for women. A recent design is the above two-piece trouser and crop top look for an East London party.

The bride wanted something modern and comfortable for her relaxed wedding on a London canal boat. It was the perfect look for her unique style and the feel of her wedding celebration. (For more pictures of this beautiful wedding expertly captured by Natalia Case please click here).

A very different commission were the tea-length wedding dresses for two of my clients perfect for their seaside wedding. For same-sex marriages considering outfits that will complement each other is important. Working with one designer for both is a great way to ensure you achieve the harmonious design you want.

Tailored wedding suits

Of course, you don’t have to wear a dress on your big day – there are a whole host of options that I can help you consider.  Whether you like a classic look or a less traditional style – we will discover and design your perfect wedding look.

Perhaps you are inspired to wear a trouser suit when walking down the aisle like Bianca Jagger in her iconic YSL skirt suit or Solange Knowles’ Stéphane in her Rolland jumpsuit.

Bridal outfits do not have to be all layers, tulle petticoats or sequins. For example, Olivia Palermo looked amazing in a cashmere jumper on her special day. Bridal separates are a great way to achieve a relaxed look and ensure that you can wear part of your wedding dress again. A lace blouse looks great with jeans or a pleated skirt and makes a wonderful wedding anniversary outfit.

If you have had a style in mind since you were young or you have absolutely no idea what direction you want to go in I am here to help. The wonderful thing about the bespoke process is that you can hone the design with each fitting. The creative process is gradual and to your exact specification. From pockets to linings and dress shields we will consider every aesthetic and practical detail.

And if you are looking to add a touch of contemporary cool to your wedding dress you could consider throwing a blazer over the top. Something like a white suit jacket or my double-breasted Ivory Tailored Jacket. They look great worn with a floor-length chiffon lace skirt and will be a great item to wear again in future or on anniversaries.

I can also add personal touches and details such as monograms of you and your fiancé. Your wedding date or the name of a loved one are also possible. If you have some inherited lace or fabric, I can work that in too.

Mother-of-the-bride

It’s not only the bride that wants to look good at a wedding. I frequently get requests for mother-of-the-bride outfits that are not frumpy or boring. A tailored trouser suit or occasion coat is a popular choice and I always design outfits that can be worn again.

In addition to my bespoke tailoring services, I offer a variety of Made to Measure tailored styles which are perfect as wedding outfits. Choose from quality materials and a broad range of colours as well as linings, pockets, buttons and edge finishes. You will end up with a superior fit, exactly right for you.

Consultations and fittings are available at my London showroom or at my private studio in Isleworth. We can meet at a time that suits you including weekend and evening appointments.
